Good Save

I was out trying to photograph my younger kids attempting to fly a kite, when my 12-year-old asked me if I could redo photos of him (I took some last week he didn’t like). I forgot to change the settings from the bright sunlight, so the original was way too dark. I’m still not completely thrilled with the picture, but this is his signature look lately. At least it was salvageable somewhat.

This week kicks off another Shultz Photo School One a Day project. The theme this month is Love Your Edit. I’m very excited for this theme as I’m working through a course called Lightroom Fix. It’s been amazing to me to learn how to truly photograph what I see, and then be able to open the pictures to bring out the elements to what I see that was beautiful in the first place.

Who would have thought, really. I first enrolled in Shultz Photo School for the Photo Fix course. I wanted to learn to take better pictures of my kids. After I finished that course, it wasn’t enough, so I enrolled in their Members program so now I have access to all their classes. It’s so neat to look back and see my progress the past few months.
