Taco Seasoning

Homemade taco seasoning, made with common pantry ingredients.  It’s delicious, with no fillers, msg, or gluten.

Taco Seasoning
1/2 cup dried minced onion
1/4 cup salt
1/4 cup chili powder
2 Tbsp crushed red pepper flakes
2 Tbsp garlic powder
1 Tbsp oregano
2 Tbsp cumin

Combine all ingredients and store in an airtight container.

Use 1 Tbsp per pound of browned meat. If you like your meat spicy, feel free to double the amount.

Add 1/2 cup water to the meat and let simmer for 10 minutes.

I also like to add a Tbsp of tomato paste or even a squirt of ketchup to the meat to give it a richer flavor.
