Easy Homemade Gravy

You can make the most amazing homemade gravy. It’s a simple process to make it.

Start by melting 1/4 cup (half a stick) of butter over medium heat. You want it to gently bubble.

Add in 1/4 cup flour and whisk until smooth. This is where I add salt and pepper. I just eyeball this, and then taste and adjust at the end if needed.

When it is smooth and gently bubbling again, slowly pour in 2 cups of broth. I use homemade broth, but you can use storebought too. Keep whisking the whole time to prevent lumps.

Bring the gravy back to a gentle boil. Cook until thickened to your liking. The longer it cooks, the thicker it will be.

I hope you like it as much as my family does.
