Snowshoeing at the Reservoir - With the Fruit of Her Hands

Since moving to Maine I’ve discovered how much I love hiking. This year, I got a set of snowshoes for Christmas, so I went to the town reservoir this weekend. There are trails around the reservoir and across the dam. It is a very quiet and peaceful place to hike, and it’s also an amazing place to snowshoe.

The trail across the dam. Someone had been there recently with a snowmobile, and someone else had also snowshoed along this path. To the right in this photo is the reservoir; to the left is the brook that flows through town.

This is the view from the top of the dam, looking over the brook. The brook isn’t frozen over yet, and the glow from the setting sun was beautiful..
