5 quail chicks hatched so far. . .
Right now, we eat their eggs. We’ve been getting about 8 eggs a day, and that’s just a bit less than 2 chicken eggs’ worth.
We had waffles this morning, and I used about 35 quail eggs to equal the 4 chicken eggs I needed. So basically, free eggs.
Eventually, we’d like to raise the quail for meat, but we haven’t tried to eat any yet. We really just enjoy keeping them, period.
Oh, they are so cute!
What do you do with the quails once hatched?
