It was the battery in our van. I’m thankful that’s all it was! God provided the money for us right when we needed it to buy the new battery.
It was kind of funny – I glanced at my desk and saw a $10 off coupon to the auto parts store on their flyer. It had almost gotten thrown away – but I’m thankful we had it today. Every little bit helps.
Now my van starts just fine. I’m thankful it’s running again!
It is hard to rely on God when things are tough, isn’t it? It amazes me how it’s so easy to have faith when things are going well, but once things get tough it becomes apparent that what we thought was faith – really isn’t. At least that’s how it is for me.
Thats great that it was only the battery. In this economy especially we have to look for the silver lining in everything. And as you say every little bit helps. I got a $500 dr bill in the mail the other day. I called and talked to them about it b/c I felt I was double charged. Long story short, they reduced it 30%. I would have liked it to have gone down more since I already paid $400 from my ins spending acct but I couldn’t complain. I really believe that God uses these tough economic times to make us reevaluate our lives and make us rely on Him more. I haven’t been that great at that but I’m slowly trying to get there!
