I turned on my computer this morning to print off something for this morning’s Sunday School lesson (I would’ve printed it earlier if I’d thought of it). While I was on the computer, I checked the weather.

There’s a Winter Storm Warning out for our area. Here’s what it said:

AFTER SUNSET…A BAND OF SNOW SHOULD DEVELOP EAST OF THE MOUNTAINS MAINLY ALONG AND SOUTH OF INTERSTATE 85. SNOW COULD FALL AT THE RATE OF ONE INCH PER HOUR DURING THE EVENING ACROSS THE NORTH CAROLINA PIEDMONT. BEFORE THE SNOW TAPERS OFF FROM THE SOUTHWEST… AN ACCUMULATION OF 3 TO 6 INCHES IS EXPECTED ACROSS THE WARNING AREA.

For some reason, it totally cracks me up. Not a week ago, we were all outside in short sleeves. In fact, Stephen even started working on tilling up the garden. Not that we plan on planting just yet, but the tilling is a HUGE job and I can’t control the tiller enough to be of any help.

They’re calling for 3-6 inches of SNOW? HERE? That’s nuts! Maybe I shouldn’t have laughed so hard when my mom told me about all the snow they received in Michigan. And maybe, just maybe, I shouldn’t have bragged about how our flowers are starting to bloom. . .

Spread the love

  1. I’m not any more! Can’t wait to get some boots on though and get outside and take a few pictures of it.

Our weird dog can’t get to his doghouse because the bushes over it are covering it too much – so he’s sitting there just barking because he wants to come inside. Not this house though – it’s too small for all of us and a 75-pound dog!

    Have fun in it today!

  2. Melody no more laughing about the snow. The snow is up over our screen door Abbie doesn’t like having to go outside lol she was running around in circles sniffing it wierd Dog she is lol Ya’ll be safe.

  3. LOL Susan! I didn’t realize it was so temperate there.

Carolyn – it doesn’t make sense, does it? They just don’t have the equipment to deal with snow, so things just close down instead.

  4. They’re calling THAT a winter storm warning??? LOL! Remember when we were jr’s or sr’s and we got dumped on till like May? Gotta love the weather…lol

  5. Sounds like it’s coming from Atlanta. When we lived in Greenville, whenever the snow was forecast for the western NC mountains, we never got it, although we wished for it so hard! But when the system was coming up from Atlanta, we were sure to get it, and it was a good one too. We just didn’t get it from the southwest too often. So . . . I’m glad it’s you and not me! LOL I’m safely in Vancouver, the Hawaii of Canada . . . and where we got dumped on at Christmas! 😉
