Stephen and I went out on a date Friday night for his birthday. We left the boys with Grandma and went out to a Japanese Hibachi grill.
The date was a lot of fun, and was well worth every penny we spent (which was actually under what I had budgeted. GREAT!).
The boys, well, I had to laugh. When we walked in the house, Stephen’s folks started apologizing to us for the amount of sugar that Samuel had eaten. While we were gone, he had a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, 3 slices of birthday cake, a gingerbread man, and a chocolate dipped granola bar. And that was besides the pizza that he ate for supper!
I wasn’t upset about it – after all – isn’t that part of going to Grandma’s house? Samuel is a crafty little guy – he kept going to Mom and Dad separately so he could get more food. They didn’t realize how much he’d eaten until they told us later.
I declare. That boy is going to eat me out of house and home. Or Grandma, at least!
And people wonder why I don’t keep sweets in MY house???
Lol Tammy – mine sure do!
LOL Boys eat a lot! 🙂
Laurie – that day is what I’m afraid of. He already eats as much as we do – I cannot imagine how he will eat as a teenager!
Melody, I had a good laugh over that one. I, too, had a ferocious eater. Wait ’til he becomes a teenager! LOL!
