This week I hope you’ll share something new you’re using, why you’ve decided to use it, and if you have used it how you like it.
My something new is homeschooling itself. I love it! :wink1_tb:
Actually, just yesterday I came across a Homeschool Tracker program. It looks interesting. I’ve played with it a little bit, but not that much yet. I don’t remember where I read about it – on someone’s blog – but I don’t remember which one. From what I’ve seen of it, it looks pretty interesting. It looks like it’d be particularly helpful to use with more than one student. We’ll see how much use it gets this year. I like the scheduling aspect of it – that looks really helpful!
Thanks, Chele! I’ve not played with the software much yet, just some here and there. Thanks for another push to get using it more!
Did you have fun at Mary Jo’s? I’m wanting to get up there but haven’t had a chance to in a while.
Hey Melody — I was in your neck of the woods today as I was making my way from Mary Jo’s, to an apple orchard and then over to the highway. I wouldn’t recommend taking two boys to Mary Jo’s — just something for you to “file away”…LOl
I have used Homeschool Tracker for at least three maybe four years. I started with the Basic as it was free. But moved up to the Plus in late 2005. Haven’t regretted that decision. I tell people it was some of the best money I’ve ever spent on homeschooling. Granted S and C are farther apart than my boys, but once you create a lesson plan, it’s there until you decide to delete it. Also, if you have the Plus version, there are some Yahoo groups that you can join there others have created lesson plans and you can download them — of course free. But you have to have Plus to do that. I think there may even be a specific group for Abeka users. Just wanted to share my thoughts about HST+ (and you being a quilter would look at that and think half square triangles…)
