We went hiking the other day at a nearby state park. It was absolutely beautiful there! It’s been a long time since I’ve been hiking, but it was really nice. I wasn’t sure how S would handle it, since we’ve never had him walk that distance, but he did fine. We walked about a mile and a half, and he didn’t complain a single time that I was aware of. It was great! Next time I’d like to go farther, but we figured we’d better keep it short first to see how S would do.
C rode along in the sling. He started off on my back (which I loved!), but he was sleeping so soundly that he started tipping over. :O) So we woke him up and I wore him in front instead.
And here’s a picture to show that you can go hiking in a skirt. LOL! Next time I’ll wear a lighter weight skirt though – this one was too warm for the hot afternoon.
Did you sew this skirt yourself? I love full skirts (they flatter my figure the best. lol), but they don’t seem to be in style right now, so I’m having a hard time finding them.
Thanks! There are a LOT of things you can do in skirts. In fact, my husband and I just spent the last 30 minutes playing on the floor with our two rowdy boys. . .and it’s completely possible to stay modest in a skirt while doing it!
HI, I’m new to the KJV blog roll and I was making the rounds to all of those listed.
Your baby is adorable…and thanks for the skirt/hiking picture. I’m finding I can do many things I thought I couldn’t in one!
Blessings!?
Thanks, Christina. It was a lot of fun. You’re right – you can do just about anything in a dress or skirt. It’s not as bad as people think.
What fun! I love to walk/hike but don’t do it as often as I’d like.
I love your hiking garb. Yes, hiking can absolutely be done in a dress/skirt, as can just about anything. ;o)
Hope you enjoy your week!
