Today and tomorrow we’re going to be busy cutting down a tree in our front yard. A couple years ago, one of the biggest branches fell off the tree, leaving a rather lopsided tree with branches that hang directly over our house. We’ve been meaning to cut it down but just haven’t gotten around to it.
We’re taking this opportunity (Hanna) to actually do it. I am not worried as much about the storm itself (we’re pretty far inland and we’re just outside the projected path. At least for now, lol). I am concerned about that tree falling on our house in any strong storm. So, we’re going to take care of it. And in the event that we do get more from Hanna than we’re anticipating, it will be nice to not have to worry about that tree.
The plus side of it is that we burn wood to heat our house in the winter and this is a great source of free firewood. :wink1_tb:
