After waiting so long to become a mother, there are moments now that make me look back and say that it was worth the wait. I just had one of those moments.
S and I were eating lunch together. He looked at me and said, “Mommy, I love you. You’re so beautiful.” Then he grinned his biggest grin – with an adorable three-year-old face covered in tomato sauce from his Spanish rice.
How can I not love that? It was a long wait to become a mother; one that at times I thought would never end. But moments like this – they make it well worth it.
God is so good to me!

What a sweet thing. My two oldest are boys and boys tend to have a special relationship with Mom. How sweet! *Ü*
My 8 year old son, still tells me I’m beautiful. You gotta love ’em. Boys are the rough and tough type, but they have a soft spot for their mommas. I enjoy reading you blog. I check it quiet often.
My 3 year-old calls me sexy…but I’ve called him that for a long time (big brother hits me when I call HIM that). It’s so not true but sweet to hear in that little voice. LOL
Ahhh! Little boys! My second boy used to tell me how beautiful I was. Used to. He’s now 16, and while he still loves to cuddle with me and hug me and have my full attention, he no longer tells me how beautiful I am. Sigh. Enjoy that little man’s compliments! LOL
