S told me his version of the Christmas story this morning. Remember, he’s three.
“Jesus was a boy, in a barn. He was born in a barn. There’s horsies in the barn. And pigs. And roosters. They’ll bite me. Jesus was born in a barn. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”
When Christmas cards come in the mail, he looks them over for a star over the stable. He tells me, “The star says, JESUS IS HERE!”
He’s learning. . .

Sweetpeas, that is so cute! We don’t have a nativity set yet, but I imagine it is just precious to see your little ones acting it all out!
Awww, so cute! My 4 yr olds somehow figured out most of the details sometime over the past year, last year they didn’t have alot of interest in the nativity sets (kid-friendly ones) we have, this year when we unpacked the decorations, we had to pause in our decorating so they could use the Veggie tales nativity set to act out the whole story & were quite disturbed that there was no donkey for Mary to ride, hee hee.
Cute story! I have a three year old too so this is a story that sounds familiar!
Lol Heather. I know what you mean though!
WhiteDaisy, thanks!
Melody, very cute story from S. 🙂 I also love the new blog look.
oops! it makes my heart not my hear lol
DOn’t you love the simplicity of children? It makes my hear rejoice when I hear Emily focus on baby Jesus instead of “Santa”.
