Tonight Stephen went with me to piano lessons (I teach at the church) so he could help me change the bulletin boards before my folks arrive tomorrow.
Ok, I better back up a little bit. Our church’s Homecoming celebration is Sunday, and I wanted the boards changed before then. But – my parents are arriving in town tomorrow evening, and I didn’t want to do the board while they were here, and since they’re leaving on Sunday, that didn’t leave me any time to do the boards.
So, Stephen went with me. On the way there, we stopped at Taco Bell for the free tacos they were offering. We did order a few extra things, but getting part of our supper for free was great!
Two of my evening lessons were cancelled, so while I taught the other one, he took down the bulletin boards. When I was done, all I had to do was put up what I could reach, and he did all the climbing up and down the step stool to do the high parts of the boards. It went SO much faster than when I try to do both boards by myself! I’m so thankful for him!
A little while ago, the church got a new air hockey table for the teens. After we finished the boards, we headed into the back room so we could play a game on the new hockey table. It was so much fun! It’s been forever since we’ve just enjoyed a competitive game like that. I was also reminded why we don’t play games like that much. . .I’m horrible at them and he usually beats my socks off at them. Which is what happened tonight, lol! I don’t know how many points I scored for him, but at least the puck didn’t go airborne at all this time. That usually happens at least once a playing session, lol!
It was so fun though. . .just having a few moments together before we headed home. I have the best husband in the world! :wub_tb:
Hi Melody! It’s nice to “meet” you! I was a member of the MIH group for quite a while, but couldn’t keep up with the volume of emails so I left the group. I just re-joined again, but haven’t said anything on there yet……lol. You made me curious about who’s talking to me, if I’m not responding to them, hehe.
Hello. I just wanted to say hi from one Melody to another. 🙂
I am enjoying reading your blog. We are on the same MIH yahoo group. I don’t post often, and frequently when I read, I see the ladies talking to you, and have to remember that I’m not the only Melody around. (he he 🙂 )
Blessings
Melody (frugalmel)
I know the feeling of getting beat too. JOey, CIndy David I played last Friday. CIndy and I lost but don’t tell the guys we let them win ;0)
Lol Susan! Ping pong is one game I’m 100% horrible at! DH really laughs at me when I try to play that game!
The simplest things are usually the most fun! Wes and I don’t play many games like that either – because he’s good at them! I played Wes and Andrew a few games of ping pong on vacation, and Andrew was shocked that I knew how to play and was fairly good at it! LOL Kids think their parents were never young and learned to play the same games they do!
