Peanut Butter Recall

For those of you who buy peanut butter. . .There’s been a recall of Peter Pan and the Great Value (Wal-Mart’s generic) brands. There have been cases of salmonella linked to some jars of peanut butter – so check those jars. The recalled jars are stamped on the lid with a code beginning with 2111.

Here’s the link to the news article about the recall: CNN article

Thankfully, the peanut butter we have right now in our pantry is a different brand. Although we prefer Jif, I usually buy whatever’s on sale, so it’s not uncommon for us to have Peter Pan or Great Value in the house.

Anyways, I just wanted to share the recall information for anyone that might happen to have either of those two brands in their house.

Spread the love

  1. As soon as I heard about it, I was digging through my cabinet to make sure it wasn’t my Jif! I had just bought a gigantic jar at WalMart last week.
