Stephanie asked me if I have a recipe for a smoothie that doesn’t use yogurt. Well, no, I don’t have one, but. . .

HillbillyHousewife.com sure does. Well, kinda. She has a really yummy (and cheap!) recipe for Magic Milk Shakes that I used the last time I tried to make a smoothie. I took the recipe for the shakes, and left out the cocoa powder and put in strawberries instead. It tasted quite good!

If you do decide to try it, just don’t make your smoothie the way I did, ok? If you do, I want to see pictures!

  1. I made my very first smoothies ever for my kiddos this morning and they turned out good … this from someone who traditionally does not like a smoothie.

    1/2 Cup Ice cubes
    Handful of strawberries
    Handful of frozen blueberries
    1/2 Banana

The recipe called for a splash of orange juice, which I didn’t have. So I used a splash of half and half.

    It was good!!!

I think tomorrow I will use a handful of frozen strawberries, a handful of frozen blueberries and a 1/2 banana and a splash of half and half.
