After the incident with the chili peppers, I will wear gloves to cut peppers. Always.
The only thing that gave me relief last night was soaking my hands in a bowl of ice water. And that’s because the water was so cold it numbed my hands, and made them hurt in a whole new way! LOL! :rolleyes_wp: I was able to fall asleep fairly easily last night, and I’m very thankful for that, because I was afraid I wouldn’t.
When I woke up this morning the pain was nearly gone. YAY!
Then I took a shower. Apparently hot water aggravates the effect, because when I was finished, my hands were hurting again. Not as bad as last night, but still hurting. I read my Bible this morning with the ice pack sitting on the table for my hands.
Wow – did I learn the hard way or what! I had no idea my skin is that sensitive!
And oh yeah – just for giggles – let me tell you – do NOT get it on the side of your mouth or in your nose. It burns like crazy! And yes, I do know from experience! And yes, blowing your nose with unwashed hands is a BAD idea!
