Yup, you read it right. I made a spinach and peach yogurt smoothie for myself for dinner after church tonight.
I was talking to a lady at church that makes smoothies all the time for herself, and she mentioned that you can’t taste the spinach in them. I had a bag of frozen spinach in the freezer…so…I made one. I used up the rest of the yogurt that I made (I’ll make more of that in the morning), added some canned peach slices, and added some spinach. I accidentally got too much spinach, so I had to add more peaches.
It was really good! It was a delightful shade of green. :wink1_tb: Honestly, I enjoyed it. It was a perfect smoothie! I made too much though, so I ended up getting full before I finished it. I think it made somewhere between 20 and 30 ounces – that’s a lot – and it’s filling to start with.
I would have used fresh fruit if I had it in the house, but I didn’t. Bananas are usually pretty cheap at Sam’s so I think I might stock up next time I go. This is such a great idea for a quick meal! And it was especially nice for tonight, since it’s Sunday and we didn’t get home until about 9:30.
